Rose Van Dyne (she/her) is a multifaceted Asian-American artist and educator based in NYC. Rose is represented by HCKR Agency.

Rose has worked at various institutions in New York City and around the United States including the Broadway Advocacy Coalition, American Theatre Wing, Roundabout Theater Company, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Marymount Manhattan College, Pace University, AMDA, Out of the Box Theatrics, Mixed Blood Theatre, Northern Stage, and more.

In 2021, Rose was the Music Fellow on the Broadway re-opening of Waitress starring Sara Bareilles, under the music direction of Nadia DiGiallonardo. In 2022, Rose began teaching at the collegiate level beginning with Social Justice in Theatre at California State University-Chico. In 2023 she graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee with her MFA in Musical Theatre Vocal Pedagogy, and began teaching at Pace University and Marymount Manhattan College. Rose was also a standby in the cast of 1776, first in Boston at the American Repertory Theater and on Broadway with the Roundabout Theatre Company.

CURRENT:

Rose is currently an understudy in the off-Broadway production of The Lonely Few, starring Lauren Patten.

Rose is also an Adjunct Vocal Instructor at Pace University and Marymount Manhattan College. She is also the Operations Manager of the Musical Theatre Educators’ Alliance, and a member of the MUSE Steering Committee.

Rose was awarded Best Student Oral Research for her presentation entitled “Black Intersectional Identity and Vocal Expectations: Incompatibility Between Musical Theatre Voice Training and Industry Standards for Black Singers” at the Pan American Vocology Association (PAVA) Conference in September 2023.

She will be presenting with Melissa Foster at the NATS National Conference in July 2024 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Rose was one of 30 recipients to be awarded the What Can We Do? (WCWD?) micro-grant, sponsored by the Asian American Arts Alliance. Rose partnered with this organization to provide free meals at a community gathering event in Flushing, Queens.
